What We Believe

Greensboro Christian Church is a “Restoration Movement Church”

We are not reformers we believe in restoring the Church to it’s New Testament foundations.

We call ourselves Christians only, yet a great tenant of our movement is “Christians only, but not the only Christians”

On the subject of “Being Saved” We believe that we are saved by Grace and not by works. We must repent of our sin and turn to Jesus. We believe in Baptism by immersion for the forgiveness of sin and the receiving of the Holy Spirit. We look to Acts 2:38 which reads:"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is God’s inerrant Word. And it is written as a letter of love, and command to each and every human being.

We are an independent Christian Church we have no governing body. We take our leading from God’s Word and as such we have Elders as our spiritual leaders, and Deacons to fulfill the physical needs of the Church.

The early Christians followed Christ and that is what we seek to do. · On the subject of worship: We believe that we are made by a Holy God to worship Him. We seek to do that through the singing of many different forms of worship songs. We are open to many different styles of worship as long as they remain focused on drawing attention to God and away from ourselves. Worship should be orderly and about God as the Word commands.

We take communion every Sunday as is the model of the N.T. Church. We offer open Communion, we neither invite you to partake nor do we turn you away. We only ask that you examine yourself before the Holy God and decide for yourself if you should partake. Acts 20:7 says, “On the first day of the week we came together to break bread...

Where the Bible speaks we speak, where the Bible is silent we are silent.
